CAY CREEK

This school was an unused frame building located in a Doukhobor village. In the Fall of 1939, 16 students from the Pleasant School were transferred to the Cay Creek School. It was created to serve the students in the southern end of Ootischenia. The school housed classes from grades 1 to 8. It was simply furnished and heating by the usual woodstove. It operated from 1939 to 1941.
